Salisbury Beach
Get your fireworks fix all summer long
Perhaps your town doesn’t have a 4th of July fireworks display. Maybe you just couldn’t deal with the crowds down at the Hatch Shell. Or maybe you just can’t enough of the rockets’ red glare. If any of that applies to you, you’re in luck. Salisbury Beach offers a fireworks display in conjunction with the summer concert series that takes place every Saturday night. The concert starts at 7:15PM and the fireworks begin around 10:15PM.
Salisbury Beach is your classic summer beach town scene. It comes complete with food vendors, video game arcades, and overpriced parking (expect to pay as much as $10). During the day, lifeguards are on duty. The Beachfront Stage on Broadway is the landmark to point yourself towards if you want to see the Saturday night concert.
If you’re heading in that direction and looking for a (non commercialized) beach day Salisbury Beach State Reservation, a few miles to the south, is a pleasant option. While summer access will cost you $9, there are changing rooms, outdoor showers, picnic areas, and a children’s playground in addition to the almost four miles of beautiful beaches.
